Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 hands-on video leaked ahead of October launch
Is Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 going to be the first 5G smartphone? Lin Ben, the company's CEO teased a picture of the upcoming phablet, which wouldn't be such surprising if not for the enabled “5G” sign that can be seen in the status bar.

Considering that the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 is expected to be introduced on the market in October, it's quite unusual for it to include 5G support, as the latest reports claim the first 5G phones won't be ready until early 2019.

In any case, if you're just as hyped about Xiaomi's upcoming flagship as we are, here is a short hands-on video that shows how the pop-up camera section at the top of the Mi Mix 3 works.

The video was initially posted on Weibo yesterday and has since been re-uploaded on YouTube for our viewing pleasure. The Mi Mix 3 does seem to be a true bezel-less smartphone, but the sliding mechanism might not be on everyone's liking.

Xiaomi had to make some compromises in order to include an edge-to-edge display and hiding the camera and the rest of the sensors behind the display seems to be the only way to do it for the time being.
